Kim used to be Tim???

She fooled me!  Kim Petras became the youngest person to undergo a sex change operation. At the age of 16 Kim went under the knife to complete her transformation from a male to female. In Germany she is a teen pop star sensation living her life. This story amazes me and brought attention to my eye because I did a presentation in my english class about transgender people and FOOLED EVERYONE in the class. Let me just say the boys were a little embarassed once I told them that Kim was once a Tim. Im all for this girl and my best wishes go out to her not only is she pretty but people all around the world accept her for who she is. Kim is signed with Joyce records and recently dropped her single called "Last Forever". To me this story is a success because people are finally coming to terms and accepting that people change to be happy.

Precious

        The story  takes place in Harlem around 1987 with Clareece "Precious" Jones. Being a victim of not only emotional abuse but sexual as well from both  parents Precious struggles daily to find inner strength to move on. I saw the previews to this movie a month back and it caught my eye. I went to the local borders store and bought the book called Push. By far this book is the best one i've read yet and trust me Brinna has read quite a few in her lifetime :) Not only did this book take me on a emotional roller coaster but from the minute I opened it up I never put it down until I was finished. The book keeps you interested as there is always twists to the plot and not to mention it will bring you back to reality because after all.... Everything doesnt  have a happy ending. Deffinately will be seeing the movie when it comes out.

Bothell high cheerleading picture scandal

Just thought I'd put my two sense in. At Bothell high school (My school) two cheerleaders took naked pictures and "accidently" sent them to football players. First off Im not understanding how they "accidently" sent them but OKAYY. The football players who received the pictures then sent them to the ENTIRE SCHOOL and muchh muchh muchh more. The girls were suspended from the team and one cheerleader even sued... blah blah blah The day after the pictures were released I remember walking into school and seeing everybody with their phones out! Now im not exaggerating when i say EVERYBODY. For crying out loud they were sent to me at least 15 times by different people. Honestly this was no accident the girls wanted attention and thats exactly what they got.Not only did they seek national attention but they also managed to set a trend where other girls hopped on the bandwagon and sent out pictures of themselves. (damn) Heres a little advice though when seeking attention at LEAST consider having self respect. For Goodness sake the pictures were PORN MATERIAL and not to mention veryy disturbing. If college isnt in their future at least they can seek attention at the strip club and get paid to be naked :))
